Cristiano Ronaldo sets a new record with 700 club wins in Al-Nassr’s victory over Al-Raed.
Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo, in a mind-boggling feat, has achieved another historic milestone.
Ronaldo was instrumental in Al-Nassr’s 2-1 win over Al-Raed on Thursday, scoring one and assisting the other. While ensuring his team emerged victorious, he also made history in the process.
According to Marca, the 39-year-old has now become the ‘first and only footballer’ in the sport’s history to record 700 official club victories.
Breakdown of the 39-year-old’s club victories are as follows – Sporting: 13, Manchester United: 214, Real Madrid: 316, Juventus: 91, and Al-Nassr: 66.
Ronaldo’s career is a symbol of excellence. Even when he surpassed the 900-goal mark, it was a feat no other player had achieved before. Since joining the Saudi Pro League, he has been nothing short of sensational, scoring 85 goals in 94 games for Al-Nassr. His force and skill on the field also reminded one that even though he is getting older, he is still at his best game.
The win takes Al-Nassr five points behind joint league leaders Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad. However, both teams still have a game in hand, keeping the title race wide open.
