Amorim on Garnacho’s Change amid Napoli interest

Manchester United coach Ruben Amorim has shared that Alejandro Garnacho’s situation is changing as there are reports he might leave Old Trafford for good.

Garnacho, along with teammates Kobbie Mainoo and Marcus Rashford, could be sold as United faces money issues. Tottenham Hotspur is interested, but Napoli, the champions of Serie A, is currently the strongest contender to sign Garnacho.

Napoli is Hopeful About Signing Garnacho

According to an Italian news source, Napoli is hopeful about signing Garnacho on a five-year contract, offering him €3 million each year. However, talks are stuck because of different price opinions. Manchester United wants €80 million for Garnacho, which is more than what Napoli got from selling Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to PSG. Napoli is only ready to pay €50 million. FootballTransfers estimates Garnacho’s value at €37.1 million.

A Chance for Garnacho at United?

Even though Garnacho was left out of the team for the Manchester derby, he has worked his way back into Amorim’s plans. He might start his first Premier League game since December 7 in the upcoming match against Southampton.

“He’s finding his place in the team and getting better in training,”

Amorim said.

“He started the last match, and we’ll see tomorrow. I think he has changed how he sees himself.”

Amorim is open to bringing back players who have the right attitude, and Napoli’s difficulty in meeting United’s price could mean Garnacho’s future at Old Trafford is still uncertain.
