Famous Italian coach Fabio Capello was not happy with Juventus player Dusan Vlahovic‘s actions during the recent 2-1 win over Monza.
Juventus ended their losing streak at the U-Power Stadium, with Weston McKennie scoring first. Samuel Birindelli tied the game with a great goal, but Nico Gonzalez’s goal gave Juventus the win.
Vlahovic did not play well and seemed frustrated because he didn’t get many chances. Coach Thiago Motta took him out of the game in the 85th minute, replacing him with Vasilije Adzic. Vlahovic looked upset and reacted angrily on the bench, which Capello did not like.
“I hope he was angry with himself and not with Thiago Motta,” Capello said in an interview.
“I can’t understand this behavior; it shows a lack of respect for the coach and the teammate coming in. Dusan might have been frustrated about not scoring, but that doesn’t excuse his attitude.”
Even with the win, Capello thought Juventus did not play well overall.
“Juve finally won in Monza, but they didn’t impress me. They played well in the first half, with Koopmeiners doing a great job in midfield. But in the last 20-25 minutes, they just defended, acting like it was the last minute of the game. I wanted to see a more confident way of playing.”
