TIERNEY CONTRACT WON’T BE EXTEND
Arsenal’s Kieran Tierney is likely to leave the club as his contract is not being extended. The deadline to extend his contract by one year has passed, so he may leave at the end of the season.
Tierney, 27, has had a tough time at Arsenal due to injuries that have kept him from playing regularly. He joined from Celtic in 2019 and started strong, but injuries have made it hard for him to stay in the starting lineup.
His contract ends next summer, but Arsenal might sell him in January if the right offer comes up, instead of letting him leave for free.
Tierney was loaned to Real Sociedad last season, where he played well and might stay there permanently. Other clubs in England and Europe might also be interested in him.
ARSENAL’S LEFT BACK OPTIONS
Arsenal has several good players for the left-back position now, making it easier for them to let Tierney go. Arteta now has multiple alternatives, including Oleksandr Zinchenko, who has been a standout performer since joining from Manchester City. Other options include Jakub Kiwior, Takehiro Tomiyasu, and the emerging talent of Myles Lewis-Skelly, a promising young player.
As he looks for a new club, Tierney will want a team where he can play regularly and get back to his best. Arsenal continues to change its squad under manager Mikel Arteta, focusing on players who fit his plans.
FANS REACTION
Fans have mixed feelings about Tierney leaving; some are sad he couldn’t show his full potential, while others understand that injuries made this outcome likely. Overall, many appreciate what he did for the team.
As Tierney’s time at Arsenal ends, both he and the club will look to new opportunities. Fans will remember his time at the club for both good and bad moments and will wish him well in the future.
