FA Cup Fifth Round Draws Confirmed [Full Fixtures]

The draw for the FA Cup fifth round was conducted on Monday night.

The draw took place on BBC’s The One show with former Arsenal and England stars Theo Walcott and Alex Scott picking out the balls.

A number of big clubs have already exited the competition with Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham all eliminated over the weekend.

Brighton came from behind to knock out Chelsea at the Amex, while Spurs were deservedly beaten by Aston Villa at Villa Park. Arsenal were eliminated in the third round by Manchester United, who secured their spot in the last 16 with a last-gasp win over Leicester on Friday night.

The FA Cup fifth round draw threw up some exciting fixtures, including a daunting trip to Manchester City for Plymouth after their shock victory over Liverpool on Sunday. The Championship’s bottom club pulled off one of the great cup upsets as Ryan Hardie’s second half penalty secured a famous 1-0 win over the Premier League leaders.

Holders Manchester United will take on Fulham, a side they have already beaten twice this season, while Brighton will face Newcastle. Elsewhere, Wolves will travel to Bournemouth, and Aston Villa will welcome Cardiff City.

Crystal Palace will host South London rivals Millwall after beating Doncaster on Monday night, while Ipswich will face the winner of Tuesday night’s clash between Exeter and Nottingham Forest.

There was no VAR in use during the fourth-round ties over the weekend, but the technology will be in operation from the next round onwards.

The fifth-round matches will take place on the weekend of 1 March, after Matchweek 27 and before Matchweek 28 in the Premier League.
