Serie A title challengers Inter host Fiorentina in the Monday night fixture in Italy.
Inter Milan and Fiorentina are set to face off in a Serie A match crucial to both teams’ season’s targets.
The game kicks off at San Siro on Monday at 19:45 GMT, wrapping up the Serie A Week 24 fixtures.
This will be the second meeting between Inter and Fiorentina in just a few days. The two sides faced each other on Thursday in a rescheduled fixture. The original match, which was set for December, had to be abandoned after just 17 minutes when Fiorentina midfielder Edoardo Bove collapsed on the pitch.
Subsequent tests showed the Roma loanee had suffered a heart attack. Medics from both teams rushed onto the field to intervene as quickly as possible, a decision which undoubtedly helped Bove survive. While Bove’s footballing future remains uncertain, the 22-year-old is thankfully out of the hospital and on the road to recovery.
Thursday’s repeat fixture began with 17 minutes on the clock, and players who were suspended for the original encounter were not permitted to play. January signings were also not allowed to feature.
Fiorentina ran out 3-0 winners, inflicting upon Inter their biggest defeat of the season in any competition. It was an impressive result for Raffaele Palladino’s side and they are now looking to do the double over Inter by triumphing at San Siro.
Inter Milan vs. Fiorentina Preview
Fiorentina currently sit fifth in the Serie A standings and have impressed this season. La Viola stunned Inter Milan with their 3-0 win last week and will be full of confidence heading into this fixture.
Inter Milan, on the other hand, are in second place and have been one of the league’s strongest teams over the past year. However, last week’s defeat left them with a point to prove. The Nerazzurri cannot afford any mistakes if they want to keep their title hopes alive.
Inter vs. Fiorentina Head-to-Head

In their last 38 meetings, Inter have secured a positive result in 23 matches, while Fiorentina have come out on top only 8 times. And only two of these victories have come after 2018.
